Abstract:
This thesis examines the splendour of English sacred Gothic architecture and identifies its origins, key features, and subsequent influence on fashion design. The goal is to design a collection of garments, shoes, and fashion accessories that reflect a harmonious combination of elements of English sacred architecture and innovative fashion forms, while drawing inspiration from the details of individual architectural elements. Considering the abundance of art historical works dealing with Gothic architecture, the focus of this work is on the Gothic sacred architecture of England. The overall look of the collection exudes elegance and luxury, with a nod to the past, aiming to create clothing that captures the essence of English Gothic sacred architecture while being wearable and modern.
