Abstract:
This paper describes the process of functional design and production of an individual model of children’s orthopedic footwear with built-in orthotics for ankle stabilization. The shoe model is intended for a person with a diagnosis of Pes equinovarus congenitus that is extremely difficult to move without orthotics due to a severer form of congenital foot deformity. A complete development process and the production of a specially tailored, individualized orthopedic model of footwear is presented, allowing the user to move normally according to the new method of orthopedic shoe modeling for ankle stabilization.
