PEER REVIEW PROCEDURE

The Leather & Footwear Journal is committed to single blind peer-review process where the reviewer name is unknown to the author. Manuscripts submitted to the Leather & Footwear Journal are peer-reviewed by domestic and international, independent professionals.

  1. In the first stage of the peer review process the Journal Editor has the right to decide if an article meets the requirements of the Journal, based on the Journal’s aim and scope. If the manuscript meets the relevant criteria it will be send to two independent experts in the field of the manuscript topic.
  2. In the second stage of the review process the referees will give their feedback within 2 weeks of submission. In this stage the authors are asked to revise their manuscript according to reviewers’ comments and benevolent suggestions after which a resubmission is required within 2 weeks.
  3. In the third stage the Journal Editor reserves the right to give the authors the final decision of the manuscript acceptance after its revision. Acceptance confirmation will be send to the authors within 2 weeks after manuscript resubmission. The editor’s final decision will be reached within total of 6 weeks after submission.
