The paper explores the appearance of synesthesia in the author of a graduate thesis whose motivator is music. Listening to a music of a particular genre: emo/metalhardcore and classical/orchestral music results in “sound-colors” synesthesia. The result of the appearance of synesthesia is visual association with certain motifs and colours used by the author in designing a clothing collection. The sensory stimuli obtained were reinterpreted into shaping the design of textiles and clothing. The obtained motifs, shapes and colours were used for textile printing to design a collection of clothing out of five models.
